by William Kampf, Neighborhood Steering Committee President

The Eastside Hill Steering Committee is looking for volunteers to help during the U.S. National Kubb Championship that will take place at Boyd Park on Saturday, July 17th. Over 60 teams are scheduled to compete in this growing, family-friendly game! Volunteers will help with set-up, registration, t-shirt sales, and tear down. You can help with as much or as little as you’d like! This is a great way to meet some interesting people and learn more about Kubb. If you’re interested in helping, please contact: president@eastsidehill.com.

This is a fund-raising event that will benefit USA for UNHCR (Darfur, Sudan), and the Girls on the Run Eau Claire County. You can read more about kubb, regional kubb events, and the kubbolution as a whole at www.wisconsinkubb.com. Also, check out this feature story on Eau Claire kubb from Volume One Magazine.
