Eastside Hill Kubb Clinic » Saturday, October 13
On Saturday, October 13, the Eastside Hill Neighborhood Association will host a free Kubb Clinic in Boyd Park from 10am to noon. The clinic will be run by Eastside Hill resident Eric Anderson – the director of the U.S. National Kubb Championship (held annually in Eau Claire) and a formidable kubb competitor at tournaments throughout the Midwest (and Sweden!).
Did you know? Eau Claire is the Kubb Capital of North America. This a great chance to learn the basics of kubb – a nordic lawn game often called “Viking Chess.” The clinic will be geared toward beginners, but even if you’ve played the game a few times before, there will be lots to learn. And if time permits, perhaps Eric will pass on some advanced tips and game strategies.
