A message from Todd Chwala (the City of Eau Claire’s Park Forestry & Cemetery Superintendent) – especially for those who live on Margaret Street:

“Just wanted to pass along a “heads up”. In June we propose to finish up planting the small boulevards at the intersections along Margaret St. Public Works will be in touch with a contractor to excavate these remaining spaces and replace with a good planting soil. Our Forestry Division will be planting small trees in some cases, and I have perennials on order. The reason for my notice is for you to communicate this to residents who may have planted some of these spaces so they may remove the plants in advance.”

Roberta Kostka, the city’s volunteer coordinator is organizing volunteer help for the planting. If you’d like to help, email info@eastsidehill.com
