Marshfield Clinic knows that improving health and quality of life goes beyond the walls of the health care clinic. Marshfield Clinic, Family Health Center, Inc. and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are working together to connect patients with community resources with the goal of improving health and quality of life.

Marshfield Clinic is recruiting Community Connections Team Community Health Workers (student and community volunteers) for the summer/fall term.  Community Health Workers will meet with patients and connect them with community resources to meet basic needs (i.e. food, housing, clothing, etc.).  Community Health Workers will be located in the Marshfield Clinic-Eau Claire center and gain valuable communication skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the broader side of health care. This is an opportunity to make a very real impact in the Eau Claire community.

To apply for this exciting opportunity, please go to www.volunteerwisconsin.org Scroll to the ”Volunteering with Marshfield Clinic“ and click “Learn More.”

Please note that you are required to complete a background disclosure form AND an immunization record. Please also note volunteers must commit to a full term of service (9 months) and a minimum of one 3-4 hour shift per week.
