Circles of Change is an opportunity for the people in the Chippewa Valley to work together “to build and embrace a more racially and ethnically diverse and inclusive environment” in our community. UWEC in conjunction with other community partners are creating local dialogue groups which will meet this fall for six 2 hour sessions and an Action Forum.  The Sessions are titled:

1) Making Connections,
2) Our Ethnic Backgrounds and Racism,
3) Our Unique Nation,
4) Why Do Inequalities exist?
5) Looking at Our Community,
6) Moving to Action and ACTION Forum.

You can learn more or sign up to be part of a Circle at uwec.ly/circlesofchange.

If you would like to know more about Circles of Change before you commit to a group, humanKIND will be hosting a Wine and Cheese Informational Meeting at the Eau Claire Music School on Monday, August 7th at 6:30 pm.  Dr. Audrey Robinson, one of the organizers of Circles of Change has agreed to come and talk to anyone who would like to know more.

If you plan to come to the Wine and Cheese Informational meeting please RSVP by emailing Traci Ohlmann at humanKIND.ec@gmail.com.  You may also email Traci for more information.  Alternatively, there is an events page on Facebook you could respond to and get more information as well.

Come share a glass of wine and conversation with your friends and neighbors while you learn about how to make our community a more welcoming place.  Let’s continue to open our hearts, minds, and neighborhoods to the wonderful diversity of humanKIND!
