by EHNA Steering Committee President Mark Ruddy

This is one of my favorite Neighborhood events. Reserve time for February 2nd. The meal is available from 4:30 to 6:30. There are many prize baskets up for auction. Come feel the energy from these young families.

Steering Committee member Meg Nord has volunteered to be a liaison with the Community Partnership Coordinator, Alison Harder, at Flynn School to improve our communication and work together in improving our Neighborhood. Meg is a librarian in our school system.

From this connection to Flynn this is the kind of information we will be able to pass on you: School principal Adam Keeton announced that Flynn’s performance has been graded by the Department of Public Instruction as “significantly exceeding expectations” for the second year in a row. This year the school increased its overall score by almost three points, earning a score of 89.88 out of a possible 100 points. This has lead up to the state nominating Flynn for a National Blue Ribbon School Award for its efforts in closing achievement gaps in learning. Our tax dollars at work!
