Bluebird Experience of Wisconsin is in need of volunteers to monitor the 10 bluebird nest boxes that surround Forest Hill Cemetery. This rewarding opportunity allows you to make a real difference in the local and national success of nesting bluebirds and other cavity nester. Especially if you live close to this site, your weekly time commitment is only a few minutes every three or four days from April through August.

Monitoring involves attending a 2- hour instructional program in March, observing your assigned box or boxes, and recording activity you found. You will get ample training and mentoring to send your findings to national birding centers like the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s NestWatch. If you need computer help to can be teamed up with another volunteer with more computer skills.

If you have an interest in helping with bluebird conservation and would like to volunteer in the Forest Hill project, or any of the other 7 area active sites, email the Bluebird Program Coordinator, and Neighbor, Shelly Sutley, hello@bluebirdexperience.com.
