April 19: Potential Change of By-Laws for Neighborhood Association AND, A Free Meal

At the Eastside Hill Neighborhood Association’s Annual Spring Meeting on April 19, Neighbors will be asked to approve (or not) a change to our by-laws that would allow us to apply for federal non-profit status, 501(c)(3). This will be an opportunity for Neighbors to discuss the pros and cons of this non-profit status, a decision that the Steering Committee supports at this point. Before the meeting there will be a free Spaghetti Feed offered by our chef Michael Rasmussen (perhaps you remember him from his special hot chocolate offered at Boyd Park ice skating last year—Kayenne Kick Chocolate Razzmatazz).

The meal will be served starting at 5:45 PM. Watch for more food information that will allow use an on-line site to help attendees plan a pot-luck dish to complement the Spaghetti Feed. The most important part of the pot-luck is to come even if you can’t bring a dish; there is always extra. If you come for the meal and socializing you don’t have to stay for the meeting.

We need volunteers to come at 4:30 PM to get ready for the meal and after to clean up the kitchen. Thank you to the church for giving us access to their kitchen and dinner ware. Contact markruddy55@yahoo.com to volunteer or have questions.

The business meeting will start 6:30 PM at Spirit Lutheran Church, 1310 Main Street.
