humanKIND and The Hmong Mutual Assistance Association continue their celebration of Hmong Cultural Awareness Month with a Hmong Fiber Arts Workshop, partnering with the Chippewa Valley Museum. On Saturday, April 21, from 9 AM to 1 PM, at the Museum, 1204 Half Moon Drive, workshop participants will be taught to make a traditional piece of Hmong stitchery. Hmong fiber artist Mai Xee Xiong will lead the class. The finished piece will be suitable for framing or other display. A Hmong translator will be available. The workshop is most appropriate for ages 12 to adult. Registration is recommended because space is limited: call the Museum at 715 834-7841 to reserve your spot.

The cost is $25 for the class and materials. A snack of Hmong Egg Rolls will be provided by humanKIND and the Hmong Christian Church.

humanKIND has been the diversity fostering committee started as part of the Eastside Hill Neighborhood Association; it is now working throughout the Chippewa Valley to address inclusivity and equity awareness and actions.

The Hmong Mutual Assistance Association is also sponsoring this event.
