The 10th Annual “The Amazing Eau Claire Clean-Up” is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9:00am-12:00pm. Following the clean-up, volunteers are invited to Hobbs Ice Center at 915 Menomonie Street for snacks and prizes.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear proper clothing for working outside picking up litter and sites assigned to raking tasks. Gardening or work gloves are always recommended for safety.

If your group finishes early, please feel free to walk the adjacent neighborhoods and pick up litter along the boulevards!!

The event starts at 9:00 a.m. at different sites throughout Eau Claire. Groups will be assigned to each location. All the volunteers are invited to come to Hobbs Ice Center at 11:15am for recognition and prizes. We will start drawing for prizes at 11:30.

Anyone can organize a group or join another group by calling Marybeth Berry at 839-5039.

Annually the City Parks, Recreation and Forestry Departments offer this popular event. Last year there were a record number of participants, more than 400. The event goes from 9 to 11 AM and has food, t-shirts, recognition and big prizes from 11 to Noon at Boyd Park. Anyone can organize a group of any size to clean up an area that group wants to improve or get assigned a project/team. To sign up contact Marybeth Berry at the City: Marybeth.Berry@ci.eau-claire.wi.us; 715 839-5039. Deadline is April 14.

Two projects on the Eastside Hill have been Boyd Park itself, including the trail to Archery Park and contiguous streets, and the hillside east of Park Towers that includes the 153 steps that come up to Earl Street.

Mark Ruddy is recruiting a team to clean up the Margaret Street boulevard perennial gardens. Contact Mark at 839-7949; on an individual bases, this team will continue working on the boulevards at 12:15pm.
