Larry Everson is a local legend. For 20 years we have seen him bicycling in our Neighborhood with frequent tours of Forest Hill Cemetery. Through pledges he earned thousands of dollars for Feed My People Food Bank. Larry’s health now has him sidelined but in his honor St. John’s Lutheran Church is having its third annual Legacy Ride, a fundraiser for the food bank. Here are the details:

What: A fun at-your-own and distance pace bike ride to support the Weekend Kids’ Meals Program, a program sponsored by Feed My People Food Bank.?Why: For years fellow St. John’s member Larry Everson “Biked for Bread.” While he has retired, the need to provide meals for children on the weekend continues to exist.

When & Where: Sunday, June 3rd, at 12:30 p.m. at St. John’s.

How: Pick up registration forms on the bulletin board outside of Chris Sims’ office or go to www.stjohns-ec.org.

General Information: Registration fee is $10 per person or $30 per family. We have donation forms for additional sponsorship, which may be used for those who are biking or those who cannot bike but want to help.

Goal: During this annual event our goal is to raise $1,000.

For additional information, please contact Chris Sims at 715-834-9571 or Jen Bain at 715-829-0863
