August 19th, Annual Eastside Hill Neighborhood Picnic at Boyd Park

Submitted by Editor on August 8, 2018 – 12:08 pm | Print or Email »No Comment

Come and let our Steering Committee treat you who live in our Neighborhood to this fun way to connect with your Neighbors. From 11 AM to 1 PM we will serve a free meal. You can help by bringing fresh, finger-food veggies to share (without any dips that could spoil). Donations accepted. If there is bad weather we will move our event to the Fellowship Hall at nearby Spirit Lutheran Church.

The day will start at 9 AM with an all- day Neighborhood Kubb Tournament for all ages and skill levels. To sign up email gnkklages@gmail.com with your team name.

Background music will be performed by local musicians from 11 to 11:45 AM. THEN, the best, danceable, little Big Band in the Chippewa Valley, 7 Swing, will belt out your favorites of that era. To encourage dancing Mark Ruddy and Patty Scott will give 2 lessons on swing and Fox Trot dance steps, one on Monday, 8/13 and one on Friday 8/18 starting at 6:15 PM at Boyd Park Shelter. Come when you can to either session – or both or them. Call Mark at 839-7949 for more dance info.

Kiki, our Neighborhood macaw parrot, will again welcome you along with other Neighborhood presenters.

This is a way to celebrate our Neighborhood. Tell your Neighbors. Come!
