Space Unicorns vs Stinky Muffins at Boyd

On a recent September Saturday at 10 AM about 18 Neighbors gathered at Boyd Park to have intergenerational fun and show how to better utilize the green space of Boyd Park. As we look for ways to improve Boyd let’s think about the facilities at the park we already have, like our Shelter, and how we can very inexpensively make our park more successful by offering simple, fun activities like Kickball. In this Kickball game the Unicorns defeated the Muffins, 28 to 22. Passersby on the bike trail and other park visitors were invited to join the game. The Robertson’s Roadside Ice Cream and Diner (formerly Dairy Queen) provided treats. Joey Robertson, who operates the Roadside with his parents, John and Mo, still lives in our Neighborhood. Thank the Robinsons when you have a chance… or better yet, visit them for a meal or ice cream treat. In the meantime, consider other creative uses of our Boyd Park green space… soon to be our winter white space.
