Full Moon Rise Over Our Prairie October 24th

Grab a warm beverage and a blanket, look east at about 7:15 PM from the Boyd Park Pavilion area and watch the full moon rise out of the far end of the prairie. UW-EC Astronomy Professor Paul Thomas has helped us calculate this auspicious, lovely event. Sort of putting the prairie to rest for the season. You could sit on the hillside east of the pavilion to escape the lights that are in the Pavilion and drink in the beauty. You may be alone or others might join you. Official moon rise is 6:44 PM but it will take a bit of time for the moon to climb above the trees. Enjoy.
