Historic Property Study in the Eastside Hill
by Pat Ivory, City of Eau Claire
The Eau Claire Landmarks Commission recently received a grant from the Wisconsin Historical Society to conduct a study of the Eastside Hill Neighborhood to identify properties that may be potentially eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The project will primarily look at the architecture of the houses within the neighborhood, but some historical research will also be completed. Properties identified as eligible for the National Register are eligible for income tax credits for qualified rehabilitation improvements.
